Just bought at Staples today, 12/2/09. After downloading the Setpoint 4.8 application from Logitech (for Windows 7), no problems thus far. Connection was easy, the Setpoint software is easy to use. Keyboard is light and thin but seems sturdy enough sitting on my lap, which I prefer more than having my Notebook on my lap. Keyboard is 3 feet away from Notebook, but I tried it (and the mouse) from 10 feet away and it worked fine.Mouse is smaller than a "regular" mouse. I prefer the smaller size Mouse since my hand can comfortably hold it while my wrist and thumb/pinky are completely relaxed on the surface. It seeks to work well on the light-colored fabric covered chair I am using it on right now. Response is good. One point I was not aware of, since none of the photos I saw in my research showed it, is that it uses the external receiver with a cable, and not a USB "flash drive" type receiver. This may be rather cumbersome when I take the Notebook into another room, such as laying it on the bed, since the receiver will have to be carried along with the Notebook, keyboard, and mouse. But it won't be a "show-stopper".If my opinion changes I'll certainly update these comments. But so far, I am quite satisfied with this, and the [$] sale price is a bonus.

I replaced another Logitech multimedia keyboard and mouse after nearly 7 years of satisfactory service. So, based on my trust of the brand I purchased this wireless combo.

The keyboard is compact and has some hot keys BUT: (1) the supplied batteries were DEAD![checked with VOM.] I had to replace them with new batteries before I could even get started with this product.
(2) The wifi connection is very problematic.(Even though the PC and USB xmitter are only 2 feet from my desktop the connection is spotty and unpredictable. (3) Often, after typing a few sentences I'll look at my display and find that letters or complete words have not been entered.
(4) I find myself turning the keyboard off and on several times a day. I do have a wifi router and cordless phone on my desk but they are at least 3 feet from the keyboard and PC.

The Logitech Help Desk suggested I move them (phone and router) to ANOTHER ROOM!!! My next move will be to return this set-up to Staples and buy a more reliable wireless combo.

Other ratings indicate this is a problem with this Logitech combo. Should have listened :-(

Comments about Logitech MK320 Cordless Desktop:

I had worn out a few keys on my previous Logitech keyboard and I was looking for a new one. This one caught my eye and my pocketbook! For the price, it is an excellent product. I am not using the mouse, as I prefer the laser variety, but I did use it briefly and it seemed fine - just not a laser. The keyboard is just right for me. I don't need all the fancy extras. The only extras that I really use are the calculator and music controls, so buying something more than this is really just frivolous for me. I would recommend this keyboard set without hesitation.

I don't use that computer much but my three kids do and it seems to be holding up just fine. My youngest kid knocked the keyboard off the desk and one key cover popped off. I put it back on and it is working just fine. Great Product!!!

Comments about Logitech MK320 Cordless Desktop:

I used this keyboard on my HP laptop/Vista to make it a desktop replacement. It worked great for maybe a couple of days. Then, it started to miss letters I type--and I am not even a fast typist. [...] Well, I moved my laptop/keyboard to various locations, and the problem persisted. I then bought an MS wireless keyboard, and it has been working great. You get what you pay for, I suppose.I am fascinated, though, that many seem to be very happy with this product. I wonder if mine was defective and the customer svc should have really exchanged it for me...
