This is a great chair for the parts sales counter at my business. The only problem I have with the chair is that the foot rest has no positive locking and slides down to the base too easily. I have to adjust it at least two or three times a week.

Adjustable - not really

This chair is fine if you plan on guests sitting in it for 30 minutes or less. However, I bought this to use daily at work, and it has proven to be unreliable. The back height and foot rest height are both adjustable. They're supposed to remain in place using screws that have friction pads. If its tight enough, it should stay in place. However, neither piece stays in place for more than a few hours. Every morning I adjust the back rest and leg rest to my desired position. If I knew how much of a pain this chair would be, I would not have bought it.

  May I suggest the Staples item number 802844 that is also a drafting chair that has adjustable seat height: 24" - 34"H.

  Item #728029 Office Star black vinyl drafting chair does not have arms and the two listed items will not fit. Item #591896 and #591895 are meant for item #802844 or #802849 which are both also black drafting chairs.
