You can't really go too wrong with a manila folder. This does what it's advertised to do, namely hold documents. What I thought would be great about this folder was that you could choose which of the 3 tabs not to fold. However, maybe I'm all thumbs but I find it difficult to fold the 2 non-used tabs and get them to stick. I suppose it could be useful to unfold another tab if/when I need it but I doubt I will. Would've been easier to just stick with the regular 3 tab folders that only have 1 tab sticking out.
I thought I was ordering the standard 3 cut files and was surprised to get the style that needed folding. Too much to manipulate, I need regular file folders.
The idea behind these folders is great, but by the time I folded the extra tabs back I didn't save much time. The most irritating thing is that the extra tabs catch on the folders behind them even though you can tuck the ends into the little slits on the back. Slightly annoying is that my file folder labels are just a little too long for the tabs (they fit fine on regular folders). These might be great for light home use, but not very good for office use.
I'm surprised this wasn't thought of sooner! Its nice to be able to just pull one out of the box and pick the tab orientation that you need. My only complaint is that the tab itself is just a little less wide so I had to cut the label to fit the tab.
