    The eraser stick is very soft, and if you're used to the tougher ones from a German company called Staedtler, you may rub too hard and break the eraser off.

      I have lots of old pencils (and even some newer ones) with erasers that deteriorate sometimes fast but mostly over time. It mainly ends up in lots of smudging. These erasers don't take up any room and work consistently well -- I just found one that's about 10-years old and it works like a dream. I highly recommend them!

        This is one of the easiest stick/click erasers to use. Even though it has a hold down button to stop the eraser from sliding back up into the barrel it's not necessary for gentle erasures. Use it for more aggressive erasures. Refills are easily placed into the barrel and stay put. Don't extend to much eraser when in use as it will break off (common with this style of eraser).
