Takes a second ring to answer

Comments about Plantronics HL10 Handset Lifter:

Overall it works great. On occassion when you press the headset to pick up it is delayed. We had the headsets for 2 yrs before getting the lifter. I STRONGLY recommend getting both together. I am in the habit of switching my headset off to get the dial-tone out of my ear when I place the call on hold and now I hang up on customers when I turn off my headset. Big adjustment!

        • Q:

What make/model of phones does this product and the Plantronics CS55 work best with. I need to buy a new 2 line phone and want to make sure my Plantronics products are compatable.

Unfortunately, we do not have information regarding specifc phones that your headset will work best with. If you find a phone that you are interested in, there is a compatibility guide located on Plantronics website that would help determine compatibility. I have included a link to this guide below:

        • Q:

I use the Plantronics headset for this device. When I go to lunch someone else answers the phone WITHOUT using the headset.

Can this be turned off so they can use the HANDset when I am away?

            A:

Per the manufacturer there is not an off switch for this product. You will need to simply pick up the handset to answer to disable the headset.

        • Q:

Do not understand how you can say the HL10 works with the M22 amp when in fact there is no socket on the M22 to plug in the HL10. I ended up buying it and then returning it. I found a Plantronics S20 amp which works really great and does support the HL10. But if I was unable to get that S20, I would probably get the Plantronics headset integrated with a phone as my second choice for a wired solution (I really don't want a battery headset because I am on the phone all day and batteries won't last). Just use a duplex plug to connect inline as it has no handset, so you don't need a lifter.

If you are going to answer technical questions you need to know what you are doing.

No it does not work with the M22. There is no 2.5 mm jack on the M22 to plug in the HL10.

You can use it for a multi-line system, but have to be at the phone to switch lines.
