You should have plastic keys that came with the time clock. On the top of the time clock towards the back is a key opening; stick the key into opening and turn; while key is still in place, lift the top off of the clock. On the right side, you will see the red arrow where it prints; above that is the ribbon to replace. Pull gently on the black tab next to the white wheel to the right, it should pop out; replace with new ribbon. You will have to make sure the ribbon goes below the print head. Try it on a slip of paper, if it works, reassemble cover, if not, turn wheel to see if it needs tightened. Hope this helps.
