I have used this product in the past and also the Pyramid Ribbon from Pyramid Technologies and the Staples brand is cheaper in price but not in quality. I don't find this product to be expensive and it last a long time before needing to be changed. I would recommend this to anyone who has the PT4000.

These ribbons are so cheesy I have to buy then 3 at a time so my clock doesnt stop printing. If the ribbon doesn't break in the first week its good until its dry. During the first week, all bets are off though. I replaced one last Monday, one Friday and one this morning (Monday again).

    These ribbons are so cheesy I have to buy then 3 at a time so my clock doesnt stop printing. If the ribbon doesn't break in the first week its good until its dry. During the first week, all bets are off though. I replaced one last Monday, one Friday and one this morning (Monday again).

                I was nervous about buying this ribbon after reading the reviews. However, there are no alternative ribbons for this time clock. I was one of the lucky ones that got a well inked ribbon. The installation is easy and the imprint is dark.

                    Comments about Pyramid Technologies Replacement Ribbon for Pyramid 3500, 3700 & 4000:

                    The original ribbon lasted about a year - the replacements look just as bad as the worn-out ribbon. We have replaced 3 ribbons under warranty - all of them having a similar quality to the old, worn-out ribbon that it replaced. Customer Service has been very good about sending replacements but we have collectively exhausted that avenue. Staples has suggested that we source a replacement elsewhere and alert them to our findings since the Pyramid brand ribbons are absolute junk.

                      Seems like ther is not enough ink on thei ribbon just replaced, and the new one isnt any darker than the old one that I took out.
