The cushion in the seat is not very well padded and I cannot see this item, which is rated for a 500 lb person to use 24/7, will last more than a year.

The quality of the chair is a lot to be desired. I have had to replace the gas cylinder twice now in 9 months. Granted Safco did send them out promptly. But I cannot image doing this every year.
The seat quality is poor. No padding, very thin and hard.
My last big and tall chair lasted 9 years before I had any problems ans was very comfortable. I cannot see this chair lasting over a couple of years and it is uncomfortable. Since my company bought it, I just cannot go get another one. But if I could, I would return it and get something else I sure would.
If you are lookign for a comfortable, quality big and tall chair. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE
