I use the 4 column hard cover record book for logging in my rowing practices. The columns are prefect for logging day, date, specifics of each practice & the 4 parameters: which are Time to complete workout, Meters rowed, 500 meter split time, and Strokes per meter. This allows me to track dates, events, and progress over time. The hard cover keeps the pages dry and clean; pages are extremely durable. Perfect for this use.

Had to break the first page binding in order to get it to lay flat. Printed column widths have been decreased from previous books- to save Staples money?

Comments about Staples® Columnar Books, 4 Columns:
Some of us actually use financial record books instead of relying totally on Excel. I've got these record books, one for each year, dating back to 1970. For a long time I would change the format every year, but it seems that 7 by 9 inches, 4 columns with 80 pages is just about the right size. It comes in really handy to look up things from years past (like stock transactions, in order to compute cost basis). It also allows you to see how your finanical situation has changed over the years. I'd reommend that everyone keep records in a book like this.
