It does not come off of the roll very well initially. the edge splits and you don't get the full width of tape until you tear off the split section

We usually buy the name brand of filament tape. This tape is much thinner, weaker, and it folds easily on itself. We won't buy again. Big mistake.

While the tape doesn't cost that much, the glue sticks to the top of the next layer making it sloppy to use. It also has a thinner layer of the main tape material which makes flimsy and more difficult to cut. It's good enough for short term use, but not for the long term.

This is a defective product. It splits, fragments, peels, detaches in filaments, is gooey and sticky, and won't unspool properly. As a result it is nearly impossible to work with and leaves sticky residue on the top side of the tape as well, resulting in a very poorly wrapped parcel. It was needed to wrap a heavy parcel and was frustrating and virtually useless. Whoever is manufacturing this for STAPLES, should not be allowed to put your fine company's name on it. I often wrap parcels and have used other Strapping tape purchased at Staples, but this is the worst I have ever used.
