Although I weigh a very average 215lbs, even at 130mil this chairmat still pits from the chair wheels. HOWEVER ... It's still soooo much better than the standard 85mil mats that are more mainstream.
This thicker-than-normal mat was definitely worth the extra time that it took for me research and find it. Thanks goes out to Staples who seem to be the only ones to consider the thickness of these chairmats important enough to include in the standard information listed within each-and-everyone of their product pages.
I am very pleased with this mat and would certainly recommend it to a friend.

To all of the reviewers who said this pad wasn't thick enough, I apologize for not believing you. You are 100% correct this doesn't work any better then their other protectors. This protector is being used on burber style carpet and after less than 5 minutes of sitting on it, you have wheel pockets from the chair you are sitting in. God help you if you want to move the chair, and once you do move it, you roll right back into the wheel pockets that you were trying to get out of. The chair that is being used came from Staples, it is their leather managers chair($259), not one of their cheap ones. Bottom line don't waste your money, beleive use when we say these protector aren't thick enough.

This product seems durable...but it didn't come in any packaging. The driver had it on a pallet on the back of his truck. By the time they were delivered they were completely bent out of shape.
After a few days of laying them flat (with the help of heavy boxes overnight) they seem ok. Good price, good quality. So far so good!

          The mat is just what I needed for the computer desk, but it needed two people to get it positioned right because the non-skid bumps that hold it to the rug make it impossible to slide, so one person had to lift the furniture and one had to reposition it. Once in place, it is fine.
          My main complaint was that it came unwrapped or even rolled and was very dirty as if it had sat on a shelf for years collecting grit and dust. I had to vacume it before putting it in place and anyone who knows me knows I am not a "clean freak"!

                A standard lip is defined as a protrusion or extension from the edge of the mat and this portion is placed under the desk. The lip protects the floor under the desk where the chair may roll if scooted all the way in.

              Whatis the warranty on this carpet protector? I just threw out one that I'd bought from Staples, as it had cracked over time and could no longer be used. I'm fairly lightweight (5'2" and 112#) so I don't think I gave it too much of a workout. And my "task chair" was a very simple lightweight one as well. I'd not want to toss out another or buy from Staples again unless I knew the warranty on these. I hope someone will get back to me. Thanks!!
