Q: does this stapler also accept 3/8" staples? Asked on 4/25/2012 by Sue Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: This Stapler only accepts 1/4" staples, which are the standard size. If you go to the product page for the is stapler and look at the Q and A, Staples Costumer Care has an answer for this question as well. Answered on 4/26/2012 by Community Answer from None A: No, only standard ¼” leg length staples for the above. Staples item number 752473 Swingline Optima 70 High Capacity Stapler would work with the 3/8" staples. Answered on 4/27/2012 by Christina.M from Staples
Q: Does this stapler use the standard size staple, or does it require a diffrent size staple? Asked on 1/6/2010 by Anonymous from Houston Texas Know the answer? Answer this question 6 answers A: It uses 1/4" staples, number 35556 Answered on 1/12/2010 by Soraya from Saugus, MA A: Yes. We recommend item# 752463 for optimum performance. Answered on 1/12/2010 by Customer Care from Staples A: The recommended Swingline Optima staples are the same size (width and depth) as standard staples. However, they may be a heavier gauge. I haven't tried standard staples in the stapler yet. Answered on 3/7/2010 by Cindi from Wrightstown, NJ A: I visually compared the recommended staples (#35556) to the regular Swingline staples we keep in the office (#35450.) The 35556's look perhaps a millimeter longer but otherwise appear to be the same gauge and have the same type of chisel point. I tried using the 35450’s and they seem to work just fine. Answered on 5/20/2010 by an office worker from New York A: You don't want to use standard staples with this product. We have two of them and were using standard staples and it broke them. We sent them back and had them replaced without knowing it was the staples causing the problem and broke them again. I would highly recommend using Swingline Optima Premium Staples. Answered on 9/28/2010 by Katie from Findlay, Oh A: Yes, standard staples. Answered on 1/12/2010 by Ace from Calistoga, Ca.
Q: CAN THIS ITEM BE OPENED UP TO STAPLE ITEMS TO A WALL? IF NOT WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST TO USE ON PAPERS AND ITEM THAT NEED TO BE STAPED TO A WALL Asked on 12/6/2009 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: No, this cannot be opened to staple/tack items to a wall. For this purpose, I would recommend the Swingline 747 Classic Stapler - assuming you want a normal desktop stapler. If you want something dedicated for this task, you should look at a staple gun such as the Arrow T50. A staple gun may be more heavy-duty than you need, though. Q: the spring in the back of the quick load came off when i pressed the button, how can replace the spring back into place? Asked on 9/15/2009 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: It is possible that the stapler you purchased is defective. If this product was purchased in your local store, please contact your local store manager for assistance. If you purchased this stapler online or over the phone, please contact a representative by dialing 1-800-333-3330. A representative would be happy to further assist you. Answered on 5/11/2011 by Liz C from Staples A: Look at the grey, back part of the stapler where the black cap came off and you'll see a space in the very center with a tiny little nub sticking up. The spring rests on that. Its pretty easy to balance the spring on that little nub then snap the black cap over it back into place. The part of the black cap with center piece that's angled like a little arrow is the part that fits right over the top of the spring. Had the same problem and thought I broke mine too but it works fine now. Answered on 11/3/2011 by AnnieD from Denver, CO
