Q: How do you adjust the back height? Asked on 1/23/2013 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Took me forever to figure this out. Even tried to return my chair to Staples, until I discovered the models on the showroom floor all do the same thing. The key is to lift the back VERY gently to one of four possible stops: 1 click is first stop, 2 clicks is second stop, etc. When you lift it past the 4th click, that releases the mechanism and the back falls down to the bottom, where you need to start again. Answered on 4/13/2013 by Jon from Greenfield, MA A: It is the back angle that is adjustable, not the height and this is accomplished via a knob at the bottom of the support that attaches the back to the seat, under the seat and to the rear. Q: There are four levers on the bottom of this chair on the right side. The one that is furthest forward doesn't seem to do anything - it is loose in a fore-aft direction. Does it have a purpose? Thanks! Asked on 6/3/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The levers on the Tempur-Pedic TP4000 chair are as follows: A – Back angle adjustment lever. B - Combination seat/back angle adjustment lever. C – Seat Height Adjustment lever – Please note that to raise the seat, you must stand up off the seat and pull up on the lever. D – Forward tilt lever- You must be sure to engage the B lever first by pulling up, you must then lean backward while you are moving the D lever backward to allow you to tilt forward. (you must be leaning backward while moving the D lever) E – Tension control knob. Turn in ¼ increments. This is the tension to lean back on the chair. Answered on 6/27/2012 by Kayla T. from Staples
