I am a kindergarten teacher, so I need a pencil sharpener that can handle several pencils being sharpened in one day. This gives a very, very sharp point in a matter of seconds (usually about 5-6 seconds per pencil) whether it's a #2 or composite pencil. Works well for colored pencils, too! Love it so far! (I hope it lasts...)

This sharpener is great!! I teach Sixth Grade and my students sharpen a lot of pencils. Sometimes I wish the shavings compartment was larger so I did not have to empty it as often as I sometimes have to. Overall, it is a great sharpener. It is quiet and does not sound like a dentist's drill. My old sharpener did and I would cringe when pencils were sharpened. No problems with this sharpener. Money well spent if you ask me.

Our PTA purchases sharpeners for the elementary school teachers. The District will not provide electric sharpeners - only the old, dreadful, hang on the wall, crank kind! Teachers were desperate for quick, efficient, dependable sharpeners. So far these fit the need perfectly!

I am a teacher of 26 active 3rd graders. Every pencil sharpener I have bought in the past has lasted a month max. This pencil sharpener really holds up to the constant sharpening of my students and it sharpens pencils very quickly. I highly recommend!
