          After going through 6 pencil sharpeners last school year, it has been proven that my 4th graders are hard on a pencil sharpener. That said, we changed our classroom routine last year and decided that pencil sharpening was for grown-ups only and banned colored pencils.

          This was only our 2nd pencil sharpener of this school year so I was feeling pretty lucky. However, after a month of use, it began to break the sharpened point after getting it sharp. The floor under the sharpener is littered with the tip of the lead. Decided to use it as a math lesson: The probabilty that our pencil sharpener would break the lead was 1:8. Not so great.

            I purchased this sharpener to replace 2 others that broke this year. It is absolutely fantastic! I am a teacher so we use it daily! It works so well, I regret not buying it sooner! Well worth the investment!

              Burned out many other pencil sharpeners. Some just did not sharpen the pencil with the lead in the center. This one is fast, accurate and stops when done. It just keeps on going. Easily sharpens 50 pencils in a row.

                I am a teacher and this year our school ordered "School Smart" primary pencils with a hexagonal barrel. They are 13/32" in diameter, and do not fit well in the sharpeners that we all have. We are trying to find sharpeners that work for these pencils. Thanks.
