Carbonless paper means that whatever is on the receipt will easily transfer to the paper underneath without requiring a carbon copy. Carbonless cash register paper prints a perfect copy to provide a duplicate receipt when necessary. The paper has a special coating that eliminates the need for machines to create a carbon copy, as they used to before this technology existed.

Do You Need 1-Ply, 2-Ply, or 3-Ply Cash Register Paper?
This is a personal preference. ATM paper rolls come in several varieties, which include 1-ply, 2-ply, and 3-ply. For businesses that don't require copies of receipts or credit card slips, regular 1-ply paper suffices. However, 2-ply provides one copy (usually yellow), and 3-ply provides a third copy (usually pink.)
