Paper sizes and paper weight
Loose leaf paper comes in a variety of sizes and weights, and can include punched holes for 2 or 3 ring binders. Make sure to choose the size that fits your needs. Most schools will encourage your student to use a 3 ring binder for keeping notes, but double check your teacher's specific suggestions first!
To be (lined) or not to be (unlined)
Classroom loose leaf paper can be either lined or unlined. Most lined paper is paper that has horizontal lines drawn on it at regular intervals to serve as a guide for handwriting, but you can also find loose leaf graph paper with both vertical and horizontal lines to help plot math problems. Different paper colors
