The use of "post-consumer" fiber is the gold standard when it comes to recycled paper products, but just what exactly does the term imply? Simply put, these fibers come straight from the recycling bin after already having lived a previous life as a consumer product. By using these repurposed fibers, manufacturers can seriously reduce the number of trees that must be felled to produce paper. Many recycled envelopes contain at least 30% post-consumer paper fiber.
