The modem is capable of transmitting documents as fast as 2.5 seconds per page, and automatically slows down to accommodate communication with slower machines.

Advanced, Time-Saving Fax Features
The Brother IntelliFAX 2940 Laser Fax can fax and broadcast to as many as 272 discrete recipients, which greatly accelerates faxing when you are sending the same document to multiple clients. Its dual-access capability lets you scan a document even as another one is being dispatched. And thanks to its 16MB onboard memory, the fax machine can queue up to 400 pages at once for faxing, saving you time when the phone lines are busy.
