- How can I join the Easy Rewards™ program?You can become an Easy Rewards™ member by signing up in store, online or in the Staples® app. Follow the instructions to create a Staples® account and you’ll receive access to Easy Rewards™ program benefits as well.
- How do I earn Easy Rewards™ points?Easy Rewards™ members earn 1 point per $ 1 spent on qualifying purchases made in Staples® U.S. stores, on staples.com®, in the Staples® app, by phone at 800-333-3330 or at Staples via select third-party online marketplaces. Members have additional ways to earn points, including making qualifying purchases of their selected bonus points categories, activating, and redeeming Easy Rewards offers as well as recycling ink and toner cartridges, tech and more.
- What are bonus points categories?Easy Rewards™ members may select up to 3 bonus points categories at a time, which gives members the opportunity to earn double or more points on qualifying purchases. Members may change their bonus points categories at any time and as often as they want but only 3 bonus points categories may be active at one time. - Where can I view my points balance?Easy Rewards™ members can view their available points balance in their Easy Rewards™ dashboard. You’ll be able to access your Easy Rewards™ dashboard by logging into your Easy Rewards™ account in the Staples® app or at staples.com®.
- How long does it take for Easy Rewards™ points to show up in my account?Unless otherwise noted, Easy Rewards™ points for qualifying purchases are usually issued within 24–48 hours after an in-store purchase or shipment of an online or phone order but may take up to 30 business days to be issued. Points earned from qualifying purchases made at Staples via participating third-party online marketplaces are issued within 60 business days after completion of such purchase.
- What happens if I return items that earned Easy Rewards™ points?Easy Rewards™ points are subject to forfeiture or adjustment if the qualifying purchase is returned. When an item is returned and a refund is processed, all points earned from the purchase of that item will be debited from the member’s account, including any points earned through special Easy Rewards offers related to the purchase. - Where can I earn Easy Rewards™ points?Easy Rewards™ points may be earned on qualifying purchases made in store, online, in the Staples® app and at Staples via select third-party online marketplaces.
- Where and how can I redeem Easy Rewards™ points?Points may be redeemed for dollars off an Easy Rewards™ member’s purchase amount at checkout. Points may only be redeemed for whole dollar amounts, and 200 points provide $1 to redeem toward qualifying purchases. Members may select the number of Easy Rewards™ points (in increments of $1 in value) to redeem and apply to their qualifying purchase. Members may redeem Easy Rewards™ points in Staples® U.S. stores by scanning their digital Staples Easy Rewards™ card located in the Staples® app or by providing their phone number at checkout. Members can redeem Easy Rewards™ points via staples.com® or the Staples® app by logging in to their account with their credentials. - Do my Easy Rewards™ points expire?Points don’t expire so long as your Easy Rewards™ member account is active. For an account to remain active, a member must earn or redeem at least one point in an 18-month period.
- Can I donate or transfer my Easy Rewards™ points to another member?No, not at this time.
- What can I do if I’m missing points on a recent transaction?
- What happens if I forgot to activate my offer(s)?If you forget to activate an Easy Rewards™ offer, you will not be able to earn the associated points on your qualifying transaction. Remember to activate your offers prior to checking out and to check your available offers often so you’re always earning as many points on purchases as you can. Find all your latest offers in your Easy Rewards™ dashboard. Access your Easy Rewards™ dashboard by logging into your Easy Rewards™ account in the Staples® app or at staples.com®. - Can I earn points for recycling ink and toner?Yes, Easy Rewards™ members may recycle ink or toner cartridges, up to the maximum number displayed in the member’s Easy Rewards dashboard, purchased at any U.S. retail store or staples.com, per month and receive points per recycled cartridge. Points earned may take up to 60 business days to be issued. Staples will accept additional cartridges for recycling, but points will only be issued for up to the monthly recycling limit.
- How can I view my previously earned Staples Rewards to redeem?You can view your available rewards for redemption under “Account: Other Balances” in the Staples app or under the coupon section of the “Check Out” page on staples.com.
- Where can I view my Easy Rewards number?There are three ways of finding your Staples Rewards number: 1. Sign into the Staples mobile app and tap “show my card” in either the account tab or the easy rewards tab. 2. Visit staples.com/easy. Tap sign in and enter the email address that is associated with your rewards account. (Update to Account Summary-> View all)3. Contact Customer Service - Contact Us
- How do I find Retail Coupons in the App?1. Access by logging into the App 2. Tap Easy Rewards on the bottom of the screen. 3. Tap “Get coupons” on the top right of the screen. 4. Tap on a coupon that you would like to use to show barcode. 5. At checkout, please show barcode of any applicable coupons you would like to use. Terms & Conditions are different for every coupon. Please refer to the bottom of each coupon to find more details.
Rewards
- When will the new Staples® loyalty program go into effect?The program is planned to launch in February 2024
- Is there a fee to join the new Staples® loyalty program?No, the program is free to join.
- I am an existing Staples Rewards® member. What happens to the rewards I’ve earned?Your earned rewards will be received in full. You can use your rewards up to the expiration date listed on your issued rewards.
- Will my existing account information transfer to the new Staples® loyalty program?Yes, once the program launches, you’ll need to update your profile and accept the program's terms and conditions.
- Can I use the new Staples® loyalty program both in store and online?Yes, the program applies to eligible purchases made in Staples® U.S. stores, on staples.com®, in the Staples® mobile app, by phone at 800-333-3330 and at Staples via eligible third-party online marketplaces.
Plus
- How long can I continue to enjoy the current benefits of the Staples® Plus membership program?The changes to the Staples® Plus membership program will go into effect February 2024. You will continue to receive your existing benefits until that time.

- How will my Staples® Plus benefits reflect the Easy Rewards program?Your Staples Plus benefits are changing and you will now earn points in addition to your exclusive pricing. Here’s are a couple of examples:
• Staples Plus members will receive twenty (20) points per $1 spent on qualifying ink and toner purchases.
• Staples Plus members may recycle up to 20 ink or toner cartridges per month and receive four hundred (400) Staples Easy Rewards points per recycled cartridge.
- Do I need to sign up for Easy Rewards™ to earn points?As a Staples Plus member, you’ll be enrolled in Easy Rewards and can start earning right away. Easy Rewards™ members earn 1 point per $1 spent on qualifying purchases made in Staples® U.S. stores, on staples.com®, in the Staples® app, by phone at 800-333-3330 or at Staples via select third-party online marketplaces. - Will I earn points on my custom pick purchases?Yes, if your custom pick product is eligible for Easy Rewards™ points, you will receive Easy Rewards™ point.
- Can I combine my Plus member ink and toner benefits with other ink and toner offers?No, you can only apply one offer at a time.
- What happens to my Easy Rewards™ account if I cancel my Staples Plus membership?If you cancel your Plus membership, you will stop receiving Plus benefits. However, you will remain an Easy Rewards member and continue to receive benefits of the Easy Rewards program.
- If I cancel my Staples® Plus membership, can I sign up again in the future?No, Plus membership is limited to current Plus members. If you cancel your membership, you won’t be able to rejoin the Staples Plus program.
Classroom Rewards
- When is the Classroom Rewards program ending?The Classroom Rewards program will end on February 4, 2024.
- Can parents and supporters still enroll in the program?As of December 18, 2023, Staples will no longer accept new members in the Classroom Rewards program.
- Can members still earn in the Classroom Rewards program?Yes, members can still earn Classroom Rewards to donate through February 3, 2024
- How long do supporters have to donate Classroom Rewards to a teacher before they expire?As of December 18, 2023, currently enrolled supporters will have 45 days to donate rewards to teachers. The last day to donate is February 3, 2024. After this date, any undonated dollars in supporter accounts will be forfeited. Donations of any amount can be made to any enrolled teacher or school between December 18, 2023 – February 3, 2024; the Giving Balance Limit will not apply. Teachers and admins with any remaining balances less than $5 will receive such balances in full on February 3, 2024, and such teachers and admins will have 180 days to redeem.
- How many days do teachers have to spend the funds in their account?Teachers have 180 days from the date they receive their donation to redeem such funds.
- How can teachers find any available Classroom Rewards balance to redeem in the Staples® app?Teachers who have Classroom Rewards balances to redeem can find their balance under “Account: Other Balances” in the Staples app.
