The Skullerz 8964 Type 2 Safety Helmet is a Class C Safety Helmet with a 6-point suspension and an EPS foam interior halo for all-around impact protection. This helmet provides heavy-duty, yet lightweight and comfortable head protection designed to shield the front, back, top and sides of the head from falls, dropped objects or bumping into stationary objects. Compared to 4-point suspension systems, the 6-point suspension better disperses the force of an impact. The compact helmet design improves visibility, and an adjustable chin strap ensures the helmet remains secure to the wearer’s head upon impact or sudden movement such as a slip, trip or fall. The safety helmet meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019), Type 2, Class C requirements and has been tested in both high and low temperature. The suspension and shell design of this helmet provides added side, front and back protection compared to an ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) Type 1 requirements. A padded, breathable and anti-microbial brushed polyester sweatband and top pad lines the sides, forehead and top interior, and is removable for easy replacement. The ventilated, open frame design and adjustable venting on the sides make for a cooler safety helmet by releasing heat buildup and allowing air to circulate—reducing perspiration in hot and humid working environments. This safety hard hat fits hat sizes 6.5-8.25 (head circumference: 21in-26in // 53cm-66cm). The size of the height-adjustable 6-point suspension is easy to dial in using the one-handed LockFit ratchet system. Simply pull the rear knob out and twist to tighten or loosen the fit, and push knob in to securely lock in place. Built with weight distribution in mind, this safety helmet has a snug and balanced fit. An adjustable chin strap secures the helmet to the head and ensures it does not dislodge if the worker falls or is impacted by another object.
