The HPE StoreEver MSL LTO-8 Ultrium 30750 tape drive represents HPE's eighth-generation of LTO tape drive technology capable of storing up to 30TB (compressed 2.5:1) per cartridge while providing ease of use with support for LTFS and AES 256-bit hardware data encryption easy-to-enable security to protect the most sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access of tape cartridges. Capable of data transfer rates up to 300 MB/sec (native), its Speed Matching feature further optimizes performance by matching speed of host to keep drives streaming and increase the reliability of the drive and media.

- Front accessible drive kit includes a tape drive and documentation
- This drive module has an internal enclosure and 5.25" half-height form factor
- Drive uses LTO-8 Ultrium technology, the open industry standard format that involves the use of LTO-7 Ultrium and LTO-8 Ultrium tape drives to read and write data
- Interface type is Serial Attached SCSI 3 that provides burst data transfer rate 600 MB/s (with 6Gb/s SAS)
- LTO-8 cartridge features capacity of 12TB (native) and 30TB (compressed)
- Sustained, native transfer rate is 300 MB/s
- Recording method is 32-channel linear serpentine
- Mean time between failures (MTBF) is 250000 hours at 100% duty cycle
- Average load time is 15 seconds
- Mini-SAS SFF-8482 connector is used for internal connection
- Power consumption is 11W and 31W for idle and typical modes respectively
- Temperature range for operating mode is from 50 degrees to 95 degrees Fahrenheit
- Non-condensing humidity range for operating mode is from 20% to 80% relative humidity
- Meets or exceeds AES-256, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 60950, TÜV EN60950, IEC 60950, EN60950, CE, FCC 47 CFR Parts 15, NOM, VCCI, C-TICK, RRL, BSMI, GOSH, CB, IEC 60950, and TAA standards
