Simple, Fun, Teaches Many of Concepts
I received this product at no cost for review on my site. I chose to review the Mixture and Measure set because I thought it looked like it would be fun for Big Brother to play with. We could surely come up with some great science experiments to conduct with this. Little did I know when I ordered it the multitude of concepts I'll be able to teach my boys with this set.

Fantastic set for learning and measuring
We love the Mix and Measure set. The activity cards are easy to follow and fun! The pieces are sturdy, easy to hold and brightly coloured making them brilliant for children of all ages. We've had a lot of fun with this product and will use for many years.

Great idea but
You need a lot of weight to make the scale move at all, so any activity with it doesn't work. Everything else was fun and easy.

Useful teaching tool for SEN children!
I teach a class of eight KS1 children at an autism specific school. We were achieving so much in our cooking lessons, but I was certain that with tailored equipment the children could be more independent. I started to search the internet and finally found exactly what I wanted.
Our equipment was okay, but I felt certain that with the help of colour coded equipment I c...

Creative, Educational Fun
My boys and I had a really great time with this set. It comes with a variety of sizes measuring cups and spoons, as well as a bowl. It's colorful and chunky, easier for little hands to hold and maneuver. My favorite part of the kit was the recipe cards that help kids create all kinds of fun things like mystery goo, trail mix, and more. It's something tangible they can t...

The Children LOVE This Set!
Learning Resources understands the importance of providing children the best tools for learning. Best of all, they know their educational toys must be fun or children won't play with them. This Primary Science Mix and Measure Set simply calls out to children. This box sat on my upper shelf for one day and I got at least 50 questions about it. Since I have a home daycare...

Mix & Measure Set Fun for the Little One
PreSchoolers love to experiment and as long as you are able confine those little studies of theirs to "mommy" approved moments, it is all good!
On my approved list is the Primary Science Mix & Measure Set by Learning Resources. The twins love pouring, scooping, and measuring items like cereal with this set. It features a scale, a bowl, 3 self-standing spoons, and 6 un...

Fantastic option for preschoolers!
My daughter is 2 1/2 and is just at the age where she can start playing with this set. She is practicing pouring water from one container to the next. I think the next step will be for us to introduce her to the concept of volume. Then we'll move on to the basics of measuring.
I see a great deal of potential in this set for getting a lot of use over the next 2-3 years....

Fun and Educational!
The Primary Science Mix & Measure Kit is full of five cups, three measuring spoons, a bowl with lid, a scale and ten activity cards. The first thing I did was set up all the items on the bathroom counter (luckily we have the room) and let my boys play on their own. I wanted them to be comfortable using the cups and seeing how much water goes in them. They had so much fu...
