Just what I needed
When I left RI to come to NV, I left my other shredder there. I read about this one and thought it would fit my needs. It is great -- not too much noise, able to do crosscut (which my other machine didn't) and the price was great.

Started out OK...
This was purchased in Oct 2017 and seemed to shred fine. Now, August 2019, even with regular use of cleaning sheets as recommended, the shred is horrible and wads up after going through the shredder teeth, pushing open the basket, shutting it down and sometimes not even shredding the document. Poor quality. Should last longer.

Stopped working
It worked okay for 1 year. Purchased 1/2022 and it stopped working completely (does not turn on) 3/2023. I barely used it, maybe 1 sheet every month.

Fragile
Must be handled gently, esp. when feeding up to 8 pieces of paper. Jams easily but what do you expect for the piece. Good for occasional home use, not business

It’s noisy and slow. You’re supposed to be able to shred 8 sheets but with just 4 the machine is working hard.

It's Okay
Just got this a few weeks ago. First impression is just that it is "okay" for the price.
Pros: Price and front tip out basket for easy emptying.
Cons: Paper must be fed in squarely! It struggles with 8 sheets even though it says that's the maximum. The motor continues to whir, loudly, for about 3 seconds after the paper disappears.

Work well for what we needed
Runs right through paper to break down, just have to be carful how much you put in it will jam & stop all together but the back up button works well.

Great product
I do not recommend putting 8 sheets as a time as the paper got stuck when I did this. However when I placed in 5 or 6 sheets at once, the product worked perfectly. Definitely a keeper.
