Exellent Attention Getter
I received the new Educational Insights Nancy B's Science Club MoonScope & Sky Gazer's Activity Journal in the mail for my 8 year old daughter and she LOVED it! She was so excited to use it and get started on the activity journal that came along with it. I really liked the design and cool colors and love the fact that it was very easy to put together and to use. The act...

Looks fab, doesen't work, don't buy
This was a gift for my daughter's 8th birthday and she was soooo excited. We can't get it to work despite having the biggest moon in 20 years this week in New Zealand. The packaging is great, it looks amazing, but unfortuantely does not live up to expectations. I would not recomend it to anyone - my daughter is disillusioned and I'm cross I got it shipped from the USA a...

Great Beginner's Telescope!
My two youngest daughters (6 and 9) were thrilled to experiment with the Moonscope. My nine year-old was a little disappointed when we first tried to look through it at night but, just like the instructions suggest, familiarizing yourself with the Moonscope during the day really helps with learning what the knobs do and how small movements change the view far away.
Loo...

Sparked a curiosity for astronomy!
This product has exceeded all of my expectations! We had so much fun with it that I forgot to take pictures outside! The science journal was the perfect addition to the moonscope.

Scope Out this Awesome Find!
My daughter is obsessed with Nancy B's Moonscope! My daughter (age 6) loves Science and is always asking questions about the night sky. This was the perfect starter telescope for her since it is small, lightweight, and durable. It is easy to carry so she can tote it around wherever we go. The booklet that comes with it is also very informative and encourages kids to doc...

Lense storage
My son was so excited to have a telescope. We took it out once and the lenses were lost and can not be replaced. I wish there was built in storage because now we have something to throw away and never really got to use.

First Telescope
My 6yo had been begging for a telescope since his teacher mentioned the word astronomy and taught the class about ancient stargazers. Luckily, we were chosen to review this telescope and my son got straight to work trying to predict the future from the stars. Out of the box he was able to assemble all the pieces and figure out all the attachments with just a bit of read...

Great way to start star gazing!
This is great for my 5 year old who is just starting to learn about astronomy. His curiosity is sky high but he isn't too patient so we are grateful for this moonscope as it is SO easy to use and comprehensive. In the beginning adult support is needed to explain how it works and what the purpose is and how to treat it with care but after a while the kids will be off to ...

Moon gazing, and keeping an eye out for pirates.
My son is four, so a little younger than the recommended age of this telescope, but I think that it works very well for the younger crowd- he was able to view the moon on a few clear nights, and really enjoyed the fact that this was his "super eye" to see something so far away. Although he is too young to use the journal, I expect an older child would get a lot of use o...

Nice unique toy
My 6 year old really enjoyed this toy. It's a little tough to get it to hold steady, but other than that I have no complaints and think it would be a great unique gift for a 6-10 year old.

Moonscope
I am not a scientist or a stargazing enthusiast, just a mom looking to interest her children (ages 5 and 7) in science. My children have enjoyed playing with this telescope and looking at various things with it. I cannot say how it would compare to a real telescope, because I don't have one, but from my perspective, it's a solid introductory toy to pique children's inte...

Cool Tool
We've had the telescope for about 2 weeks now. As the adult, you need to take the time to read all of the instructions first and educate yourself and your child on how to use it so that the experience will be enjoyable. My 9 year old still can't quite get something in view by himself, but with a little help from mom, we have success and a perfect view of the moon! He th...

Nice- but could be more stable
We received this telescope for review to try out with our seven year old daughter. We have not been able to see the moon yet- but have enjoyed looking at the trees in our backyard and birds. The tripod is not very stable and it is a little difficult to keep it steady for a clear focus. Once it is stable- it gives a great view. We have had a lot of rainy evenings, so we ...

Nice first telescope for little ones
My 7 year old son enjoyed using this telescope and reading the book that came with it. He says the thing he likes best about it is that he can see the moon clearly. We have been tracking the moon phases with the calendar in the booklet. He liked reading the folktales about the moon, too. Great first telescope for little ones!

Best Toy received
I think I enjoyed this more than my daughter, I love science. We haven't had a chance to look at stars but we have been looking at trees and birds. The different lenses work well, and the light definitely works best, we get to look at the sky although we haven't seen much I can definitely say my daughter loves her telescope. All the parts are good quality and makes a gr...

Would recommends as a child's first telescope
First let me start out by saying that I have no knowledge of astronomy or telescopes, so when my 8 year old received it, I had to look over all the parts in the instruction manual to know what I was doing. There is also a qr code to scan that will take you to a short assembly video (the website is also written in the manual). There was very little assembly required - th...

A Great Introductory Telescope
I was just as excited as my daughter to try out her new MoonScope. The product is easy to put together and the directions are simple to follow, but read through them. I initially rushed through that process and missed a detail or two. One thing to remember is that this is a toy. I know that the age recommendation is 8+ but I'm using this with my 4 ½ year old and it's ju...

My son (age 6) loved using this kid-friendly moonscope! He is very interested in space and the moon, so this is a perfect starter telescope for him. The moonscope was easy to put together and my son is able to set it up and use the knobs to focus. He sometimes has trouble finding stars, but it was easy for an adult to find. (We do live in a suburban area with street lig...

What a fun item! My kids loved looking at the moon. They typically like star gazing so they were thrilled to see this. I agree on making the colors a little more gender neutral though.
