I have 2 Addison faucets. The one in the kitchen started to have problems shutting off. I bought 2 cartridges advertised as replacements. Not so. Both dripped soon after installing. and they just didn't feel right. So I ordered an OEM Delta part instead. Now that fit and felt right. So far I am happy with it. Goes bad quickly
We have had this faucet for about 8 years and have had to put new cartridges in about every 6 months. It's ridiculous.

second cartridge in the 5 year life of the faucet
Really poor quality. I bought Delta because in the less clean water around georgian Bay the ball type controls NEVER needed replacing. I'm betting some i put in 40 years ago still work with just the pucks being replaced every 15 years or so.

Low quality
I bough Delta faucet in 2017. The cartridge started leaking water in 2020. I got a replacement cartridge and it worked again for 3 years before it started to leak.

Terrible Product
This is the 6th replacement cartridge I have purchased. I just got a replacement from Delta which was replaced in March 2022 and an issue once again. The problem is they just don't turn off when placed in the off position. Have to play with the lever to insure it doesn't leak, drip or stream. Cartridges are a wear and tear part regardless of brand. However, we typically see a much longer lifespan than you've noted. Leaks and difficult to close the value
After 2 years the valve doesn't firmly fit in it's off position. It takes precision to find the position where its is not spilling hot or cold water, but precisely in the sliver of a spot where its closed and not leaking.

Prompt Replacement!

Diamond Seal Cartridge in single lever faucets
Good when new. This cartridge gets very stiff and bulky after 2 years' use. My apartment came with Delta faucets in bathrooms and kitchen, this will be the third cartridge in the last 5 years for kitchen and second for the washroom. Saving grace is the ease of replacement, the prompt service for the from Delta for the lifetime warranty for this part.

Re-Engineering required!
As a 40+ year experienced Mechanic involved in research and development of fighter aircraft, working with engineers - this lack of performance of the basic functions of this valve is completely unacceptable! I have ALL the problems mentioned in these reviews. Yet, my 4th cartridge in 5 years is shipping to me as I write this. The 50587 cartridge has no hope to become RE...

Cartridge problem
We have now changed the cartridge 3 times in 5 years. Will not shut off when bringing it to the up position. Not worth your hard earned money for this sub par product. Lots of bad reviews

Nice faucet, not so great cartridge.
Two year old kitchen faucet with RP50587 cartridge became almost impossible to shut off. Not an inexpensive repair part for 2 years of use. Please upgrade this part to last at least 5 years or more!!!

Product average, but amazing customer service
I have a delta faucet that was purchased about 3 years. I figured it was the cartridge that was giving out because of reviews online on this kitchen faucet model. I sent an email to Delta and got a replacement in a week - all hassle free! Amazing customer service

Leaks after only 2 1/2 years....
We have a faucet , model 9178-RB-DST that started to leak and is also making noise when we close the handle. Very disapointing, I see that I am not the only one having this issue.

Nice tap until cheap plastic insert breaks
Have had the faucet for over a year and like others, the insert broke and water constantly drips unless you feather tap around...annoying to say the least.

Failing after 3 years
I bought this 3 years ago and it's already leaking again. It's so frustrating when Delta products were the best and used to last a lifetime.
