Versatile
I use Scotch painters tape for painting. Always works well protecting when painting. Leaving a clean line.
But, I also use it when I want to temporarily hang notes on the fridge or a wall. Holds well and doesn’t leave sticky residue. Can also be used in drill bits to give you an idea on how deep you need to go when you’re making several holes and you want them all to b...

Horrible, will not stick, waste of money
If I could give this zero stars, I would. I’ve been painting the interior of an entire house and gone through A LOT of tape. I bought this one because what I usually use wasn’t available, and it was a huge mistake. I tried it in all conditions- cold, warm, dry, humid, windows open and shut, nothing makes a difference, this is simply a terrible product. No matter what I ...

Awful.
Terrible product. Keep trying to give it a chance but every time it’ll peel the paint it’s placed on. Doesn’t matter how clean the surface is or amount of time is given for surfaces to dry.

Not sharp by any means
I gave this painters tape a 2 for stickiness but my god, sharp this tape is not. Every line i taped, paint bled through. So now I have to buy new tape to repaint areas white where this bled. I’m mad i still have two rolls to use up.

Not the best painters tape
I used scotch painters tape for along time, but always had trouble with it around my baseboards and trim. Even when I cleaned them before hand. It bleeds through still. I recently switched to frog tape. It’s not that much more expensive, it goes on easier! Sticks better! And definitely gets you cleaner lines. I will never go back.
I also do not believe there is a diffe...

does not unroll without tearing
We purchased 2 rolls for our home. The tape tears in strips so 2" tears to less than 1/8".

Best painters tape!
Hands down the best painters tape I have ever used. Absolutely no bleed of paint on the wall or trim. I used it on my daughters accent wall and it worked perfectly. I will be using it every time now!

Tape is now plastic. Hard to tear.
I only have bought this because they were out of the regular blue tape. It was never very easy to tear but now it's worse, it's made out of plastic. Unless you're pinstriping cars nobody needs that thin a tape.
Your instructions to leave the tape on till the paint dries is incorrect. If you leave it on when it dries anything except dead flat paint will pull off the uppe...

Doesn't stick to anything let alone seal out paint
This doesn't stick to the walls, trim, glass, or even itself! I put it on only to look 5 mins later and it is dangling off the wall. How is it supposed to keep out paint if it's not even on the wall!?

Worst Tape In The Entire World!!
I bought several rolls of this tape to cover newly refinished trim in the hopes of preventing hours of cut in time when I paint my walls. The tape doesn't stick to the trim nor will it stick to itself when overlapped! I spent hours taping four large windows, trim around three doors and the baseboard to realize I need to do it all over again!

Terrible terrible tape. Will drive you to drink.
This tape is awful. It's only good if you like to play a little game of repainting what you've already painted. It not only removed my ceiling paint but also my wall paint so I got to repaint by hand the wall paint, let it dry and then repaint the ceiling by hand. Utter waste of money, time, paint, etc. I wouldn't recommend this paint tape to an enemy. Buyer beware it w...

Worst product I have ever purchased
First off, I started using Blue Tape when it was actually 2.0" wide and I was working for a paint contractor in H.S. and college (1987-1995). The formulas have changed and 2093 was purchased to be dual use (sharp lines and hold painters plastic while working). 2090 was changed too, as the width, the base material and adhesives are not what they used to be, but that is n...

Terrible
I have used 3m painter's tape for years and never had such a terrible time applying tape as I have today. I cleaned all baseboards before applying the tape. After applying the tape throughout part of the room, I noticed some of the tape coming off the baseboards. I redid those areas and continued taping the room. Before I could finish, more tape was coming off in multip...

I needed to paint the baseboards along my stairs. I wanted to protect my nice hardwood stairs so I opted for the more expensive ScotchBlue Sharp Lines Painters tape. I thoroughly taped off the entire set of stairs, and had two coats of paint on the baseboards in the next 48 hours. I was extremely disappointed to find out that on nearly every step the tape failed, and pa...

Worst Tape I Ever Used! Shame on 3M for Garbage
I bought three rolls of this tape and it would not stick to anything. It wouldn't even stick to itself. I was so mad, I threw it all away. They make some really great tapes but this stuff is worse than the old yellow masking tape. DO NOT BUY THIS. WASTE OF $$$
