Easy to set up, fast scanning, super happy with it
This machine was easy to set up, it scans very quickly, and the print quality is good. The software is an app that practically self-installs the printer on your computer. My only complaint is the app is very slow to start up. Other than that this machine has been a dream compared to the Canon MFS743CDW we had before it.

Adequate All-In-One if you don't mind outdated tec

Great machine
So far so good scans fast...prints fast......size is just compact enough for home office had it a month and the toner it came with still works...this is my 2nd brother color laser and would recommend them to anyone

Better than average color laser MFC printer

Better than no color printer I guess
I don't think I've ever had a printer with such uneven quality and functionality as this one. The base console functions are very limited - can't even select certain common paper types for a given tray for instance - and I find that I have to rely on the "ControlCenter4" software to get settings correct. Works Great But difficult to install to enable faxing
The machine works great and is really fast but we ended up needing to get a computer technician to configure it to enable faxing.

Not good for a machine
New printer and keeps printing and scanning a line in the middle of page. Did all the self fixes like cleaning the glass etc. no luck.

Great Machine
It's a great machine and it has done everything we need it to do and it truly has the potential to be a 5 Star product except that the paper tray doesn't hold a whole ream of paper and that is the only reason why it was given 4 Stars.

Purchased for Office of about 10 people
The print quality is great but the speed is pretty slow for office printing. We are also having quite a few issues with it connecting to the network. It needs to be restarted every morning and sometimes throughout the day or it will not wireless print.

Smooth, quiet, sturdy
Overall we're happy with the 8900. Not fancy like the HP, but doesn't have the break downs and is much more physically sturdy. The Brother also uses far less ink and the cartridges are much cheeper. A little slower responding to print requests, but gets the job done effectively.

Great features, does what I need
This printer is economical, prints reasonably fast, consistent print and is great when I need to print over 100 pages. The color is decent. I do a lot of printing and I work on satellite internet so not everything works like it should but the more I work with the printer, the easier it is to get it to do the things I need..

Wonderful printer with all the features!
We love our new printer...it's easy to use (user-friendly), it scans, faxes, copies and does everything we need for our small office. The ink cartridges are easy to replace and any time I've had an issue, the customer service is super helpful. This is a great quality printer.
