NOT A GOOD PEN CONSTRUCTION
WE WILL NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN. RETRACTABLE PIECES COME APART AND PEN GETS JAMMED AND WILL NOT COME OUT. GRIP OF PEN IS GOOD . THAT IS THE ONLY GOOD QUALITY OF THIS PEN

Don't let them get too old
I don't often need red ink pens, but did buy these in the 12 pack. I liked them a lot at first. As they are getting older though, the rubbery grip is almost like it's melting. It is both greasy and sticky at the same time. I just opened the pack for my last two and I needed to wrap tape around the grip in order to use them. Granted, they are probably 2 years old, b...

Poor quality
Ink is very light and the mechanism to open and retract the pen tip is flimsy. Will be exchanging for a different brand.

The improved version is NOT
Our office really liked the model #BK440-B Pentel red ink pen and used them for years. However, we do NOT like the recently released model #BK440-B1 because the ink smears very easily compared with the original model. We will no longer purchase #BK440-B1 because we are tired of the red ink getting everywhere.

one of the cheapest decent retractables
While these pens are a bit more than I would like to pay for a pack of twelve, I think they are a good value. I find these to be very comfortable when writing. You can certainly get pens that write just as well for less, but they won't be retractable. This pen writes well and doesn't leave empty spots, which it tougher with red ink. preferred pens by our crew members
Our paramedics and emts prefer these pens over all the others. They require a "click" pen. They say these always write and write well without skips or blotches. I would highly recommend.

These pens are great!
We use them for customers to sign their Credit Card receipts on the slick paper that many Point of Sale machines use and they work every time!!
