this item was received defective. The gauge that slips into the base is cut at an odd angle to where the gauge will not insert.

There are no instructions on how to unlock the hole punch to being using.

Great 2 hole punch
Staples had exactly what I was looking for. Though they didn't have it in stock at my local store they had it shipped to me within a few days. The punch is great quality and I expect will last for years to come.

Not adjustable
As far as performance it works great! I only wish that you could adjust the spacing between the two holes. Because of this I can't use this two hole punch.

Handy for home office
I really like this 2-hole punch and needed one for my home office. The quality is great and it does the job. I like that the lever can be lowered and locked into place to make easier to store in a desk drawer when it's not in use.

I had a hard time getting it unlatched (it comes locked in the downward position.). But once I finally got it ‘undone ’ it has worked great!

Hard to open and close
The little gray thingy that pops open the hole punch won't last long because you have to kind of force it.
