Capacity uprade
It is the capacity I was looking for at a good price. I have used WD and Western Digital Drive for years. Never had a bad one yet, the only reason for buying new drives was storage capacities.

Slow mechanical drive. Lousy for gaming.
Slow mechanical drive. When I was looking at reviews I saw this mis-advertised as an SSD somewhere and never realized the difference until I installed it. A mechanical gaming drive doesn’t make sense. Load and install times take forever. I highly don’t recommend.

WD Black Replacement
This drive replaced my 12 year old WD Black drive that failed. I use it in a raid mirror configuration so I lost no data. I’ve used WD drives for many years and rarely had problems.

Needed a Hard Drive to add storage to prefab
So far a trusted brand with reliable hard drives, only two that failed prematurely were fried or dropped.

Best HDDs ever
The "Black" series are the best HDDs - quiet and long lasting. I use 6 of them on my system and have never had an issue. Highly recommended!

The type and volume of noise are dependent on whether the is drive performing a read/write operation or idle with the heads parked. The environment where the drive is functioning may also influence noise. It is important to recognize which noises indicate trouble or normal drive operation. Why I use a WD Black as my Primary Drive
I use WD Black as my primary drive on my desktop, I know it's a little slow compared to a SSD but because I move a lot of files and folders it is probably the best of both worlds give what I do.

WD quality as expected
Purchased the WD Black 2TB drive and had no issues plug and play at its best. Performance is as expected. What else can I say?
