Much louder than 45dB...
I checked these, and mine were around 95-105dB at 6 inches, and at 5 feet, were still well over 75dB. There is a big difference between around 45dB and 105dB.
These are unusable in my environment, as it is a small home-office... and the sound is still very very noticeable across the house.

Good cooling option for rear of rack enclosure
Originally purchased a roof-mounted 6-fan panel for my SR25UB enclosure, but it proved to be excessive for my needs and extremely noisy. This 3U fan panel proved to be an excellent alternative and mountable in the rear of the rack enclosure.
