Great for note-taking
I love the subtle grid that makes note taking more organized than regular lined paper. Lots of sheets the pad will last a long time.

Sucks
Poor binding so sheets fall off no backing or stiffener except for a piece of flimsy paper-thin cardboard so you cannot use for field measurements or to write while standing. Paper is OK I guess but pad is poorly made. Incredible that I have to review a pad. Cambridge much better.

My father in law was an engineer after his death I inherited the contents of his desk amongst which were a small stack of engineering graph paper pads which he used for notes and reminders after his retirement. I ran out of those about a year and a half ago and was delighted to see that not only were they still available (his dated form the early eighties) but that you...

Engineering Computation Pads
We have been using these for years. A number of our engineers and even myself use these partly for computation and partly as a sketchpad. They are good for facilitating the sharing of ideas.

Just like I used in school
Good quality paper. Each page contains minimal ancillary markings by the manufacturer. Adequately firm cardboard base to use pad independently yet slips easily into pad holders or notebooks. Punched holes extend through cardboard pad so entire pad can be put into 3-ring binder. Binder at the top holding all the pages together is substantial enough to hold paper in but a...

Not useful if you use real ink
I have been using engineering paper for over 50 years almost always with inked Rapidograph pens to do engineering and other technical work. Tops brand paper does not work with ink pens because the ink "spreads" rather than just laying down the neat lines and curves you draw and letters you print or write. I have not had this problem (yet) with AMPAD or Staedtler green...

Unacceptable for professional work
Although the paper is of generally good quality - it erases well and the lines are accurately ruled every sheet contains random small dots which are scary when working with computations that contain decimal points and negative signs. The chance of a random dot in the paper being taken for a decimal point in a critical structural analysis makes this product unacceptable...
