Ready to take a peek inside your PC? Don't forget the following tools.

Antistatic wristband or grounding strap to eliminate static electricity.

Flashlight to see into every crack and crevice.

Screwdrivers (nonmagnetic slotted and Philips) in various sizes, because just about every component is connected using screws.

Hex (socket) driver for removing hex screws typically found in the motherboard.

Zip ties to keep wires and cables neat and ensure adequate airflow.

Tweezers and long-nosed pliers to reach dropped screws and wires in tight spots.

Canned, compressed air or vacuum, dust cloth and cotton swabs to limit dirt, dust and contaminants while you work.
