          I bought this as adapter for charging my iPhone 5 (after I upgraded from iPhone 4) since it has a different connector for charging. The problem is that with a protective cover on the phone, the plug is not long enough and I have to remove the cover in order to charge the phone using the adapter (in my car). The charging cord and mechanism that came with the phone is long enough and can be used without removing the cover. Great idea, and nice and small, but poor functionality.

              Another example of why I don't like Apple. They sell you something with one technology then change the technology just enough so that you have to buy new accessories at absurdly high prices to keep your devices functional. Lightening to 30 pin adapter should have been provided free with the purchase of any new iphone or ipad.
