My HP laptop has been on the verge of blowing up it gets so hot. Even through 2 pillows I would get burned on my legs! i literally could not even rest my palms on the top/keyboard to type because of burning. I was constantly shutting down to let it cool. THIS ITEM HAS SAVE ME AND MY COMPUTER! NO MORE OVERHEATING. it stays nice and COOL!I highly recommend!Best [$] ever spent!

I'm afraid I won't buy this again

After several hours of use, the fan runs very very very loud and I have to unplug it just to hear the TV. Sounds like it is broken and I've never dropped it.

I used one of these Belkin coolers with a laptop for a couple of years. Over the past 6 months, the fan blades began breaking off one at a time (like losing teeth). I didn't realize what was happening until I noticed how HOT my laptop was. I discovered one of the broken blades was wedged in such a way as to stop the fan from rotating. Last week it was down to just 4 blades so I tossed it ... to be replaced with an Antec. I've also been using the Antec for the same priod of time on another laptop of mine and I am very pleased with it.

We ordered this laptop cooling pad to replace the last one that died (Antec brand). It worked great for a few months and suddenly stopped working. It was only used at the office, on the same desk. Guess we just have bad luck with cooling pads.

Had two of these fans. First one got very, very noisy when I cleaned it. Called Belkin, they sent me a new one and once again when I gave it a shot of canned air to get all the dust out of the fan and plugged it back into my computer, it was just as noisy as the first one.

Also good to use with a DVR, mine is kept under the TV in a cubby that doesn't get enough air circulation, which causes it to freeze up and needs to be reset at least once every other week. I haven't had to reset the DVR once since I hooked up the cooling pad. Not just for laptops . . . . :)
