Life can be doubled with a peice of tape

There is one frustrating thing that happens with this cartridge,it claims the toner is out before it really is. Fixing this only requires a small piece of black electrical tape.

There is one frustrating thing that happens with this cartridge,it claims the toner is out before it really is. Fixing this only requires a small piece of black electrical tape.

1. Remove the cartridge/drum assembly from the printer.Remove the cartridge from the drum.

2.On the right side of the cartridge you will see a small circular window- cover this up with the tape and keep on printing :).

The replacement is fairly clean & the print quality was good, however these do not last long enough. I burn through them too quickly and I am not happy with the short duration. I will eventually look at another manufacturer such as HP because I am spending way too much on toner. I have had an HP before - the cartridges cost a little more but they lasted Much Much longer.

Number of pages of print has varied over the years and from one Toner Cartridge to another. Past two years the cartridge lasted exactly 12 months. This year (2012/13) 8 months on similar volume. Perhaps the amount of Toner has been reduced to maintain price?????

I was wondering if the Cartridge is supposed to have full life when you install it? I just ran a user settings report and it is showing that it is about 25% full. Please let me know if this is normal or if I need to return the cartridge. Thank you!

  There may be an issue with either the printer or the cartridge. A new cartridge should indicate 100%
