I've only had this printer for one week. So far, I have been fairly satisfied with its performance. The wireless set up was very simple and fast. I have an airport and 2 iMacs that connected very easily after downloading the CD. However, this printer is not supported by my older macbook pro which is below Mac 10.6.8. , I haven't looked further if there's a way to patch to get wireless connection between the printer and laptop. I was also able to print a photo from an iPad easily. I am quite satisfied with copying documents, the print is clear and precise. Scanning documents to the designated iMac wirelessly works just fine too.

This is not a quality photo printer. Mistakenly took it as Canon always produced good photos in past. Had to ditch prev. Canon cuz the ink tray is full - try and get that fixed| Not a reasonable option money wise. Is Canon getting like HP with planned obsolescence?
Didn't attempt routine copy or computer printouts so can't comment. Wireless works but fax was problem to have pro set up.

Something no one tells you I that if you use a canon camera (T4i in my case ) with a canon lens, shoot raw, download using canon software (provided free), and print on a canon printer, you get very clear, highly focused photos. Love this printer.

No problem with Windows 7. Installation went smoothly and printer works wonderfully!

However, if your have Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (i.e. SP2) or earlier, the printer driver that came with the package will NOT install.

I tried to upgrade my computer's Windows XP SP2 operating system to SP3 in order to make it work. The result was a disaster! It costed me 3 days and a lot grieves to recover from that mistake. (I consider myself fortunate to be able to restore my computer's SP2 OS. I will never try to install SP3 again just to satisfy the silly requirement of any printer.)
