Q: Two questions...1) does it work with MacBook Pro, and 2) can I use 2 or more cameras with it? Thanks. Asked on 6/16/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: The other answer is NOT correct. On the box this camera supports OS X but that is not the case. I am using a Macbook Pro running the latest OS X Mountain Lion. Here are my results using three browsers to view the video: SafarI: A message pops up as "Mac OS Chrome users encounter an issue using Java 7" and then something about how to downgrade to Java 6 as a workaround. I followed the instructions on how to downgrade and still get the same message. Chrome: Same issue as above. Firefox: I get a Loading mydlink function... with spinning wheel forever. After waiting forever it doesn't seem to work. So the viewing software does not work with a Macbook Pro. Additionally, buyers should be aware there is separate software required to actually record the video which Dlink calls D-Viewcam. There is no Mac OS X compatible version of this software. In conclusion, this product is not compatible with Macbook Pro. Answered on 10/16/2012 by Rob from FL A: The D-Link Network Camera is compatible with both PC and MAC systems. D-ViewCam software is included with all mydlink-enabled cameras and allows you to view and manage up to 32 cameras on a single screen easily and hassle free.
