The only great aspect of this router so far is its ease to set up. I just replaced a failing Netgear N + router after 4 + years. The Linksys, seem to get disconnected very easy with just faint interference. When this happens even wired connections get interrupted. Not Good at all. Cisco should have made their own product instead of buying some brand and slapping their label on it. It is just not worth the price they are asking.

look , i'm computer savy. this was my first wireless hook up. i bought it mainly for my 2 xbox's and ps3. it was an easy setup.but it took me hours to figure out how to hook it up to my consoles.xbox support was no help and linksys support sucks too. WEP security is what you need. medium security.

This product enables me to use my wireless laptop anywhere in the house (and probably outside too). It is installed in the home office on an older computer and works well. I enjoy having it. The only problem was or is...that when I installed the software (CD) that came with it, it wouldnt totally install. I would get a window that told me installation failed but after being frustrated by that, just left it alone overnight. The next morning tried it out using my laptop with no hard connection to phone line and it worked. I could get on the internet and it has been working fine ever since. Not sure what part may have not installed?????

Even though the Staples guy recommended I go through Tech Support, set up was very easy. Just follow the directions on the package and do as the CD advises. The whole process on my Acer laptop took just about 45 minutes from box opening to going wireless. After hooking up, I was able to go anywhere in my 1800 SQ FT house - and even up and down the street I live on - without losing signal.

The Linksys advisor program does give you a nice graphical representation of your network, and troubleshooting is pretty straightforward. I had a momentary electric outage (about 5 seconds) and had to use it to reconnect to the internet.

The only downer is continually going through the program to get connected to the internet. You are better off to use your wireless icon on the toolbar and connect that way. Other than that, I've had no problems with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

this router has made me wish that i had dailup it was faster than this router. my last router i had no problem with downloding emails but this router has slowed every thing down so much i have to some times log of then back on to get it to work. the other thing is that it will not down load a page so i have to refresh the page to get it up.
there is to much other softwear that comes on it that slows it down even more i would not by this product or netgear products they are junk!!!!!!!!!
