Q: Just purchased a pair of xavb5001 powerline adaptors. They work fine, however they never appear to go to powersave mode, ever. So, I did a quick test to ensure it wasn't the led light. I unplugged the ethernet chord from the adaptor and indeed did it turn "amber" in color and did go to powersave mode. Otherwise, with everything plugged in, my adapters never go to powersave mode. Any thoughts on how or what I can do to get this to happen? Thanks in advance. Asked on 3/17/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: Due to the nature of your inquiry, please contact Netgear at 888-638-4327. Answered on 3/19/2012 by Bonnie B from Staples A: According to the manual (page 6), this device enters power saving mode if the Ethernet port is not linked for more than ten minutes. It sounds like it properly detected when you removed the Ethernet connection altogether. Is it possible that whatever you have plugged into the device is keeping the Ethernet link status up? Is the Ethernet LED (on the right) dark? ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/XAV5001_UM_23FEB2011.pdf Answered on 3/20/2012 by Community Answer from None

Q: Hello, I was wondering, what else do I need to buy in order to get this product to work? I currently have the fastest (or quickest) internet speed through cox and am using a motorola 3.0 modem along with a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router. I saw that someone else was running a boat load of stuff as I am, I have two x box 360's live, three laptops, an IPad, a wireless printer, one wireless blue ray player, and I acidentally bought a new blue ray player and didn't realize that it wasn't wireless. So my first question was will this work for that so that it is hooked directed up to the ethernet cable and second, what else do I need to purchase for this to work properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Amy Asked on 5/21/2011 by amy from queen creek, az Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: To connect your Blu-ray player to your home network, you would only need to puchase this product and connect it to your player through a ethernet cable. If you do not own an ethernet, it would be necessary to purchase this item separately. To place an order for this item, please contact us at 1-800-333-3330.
