The Pentel Clic Eraser is the best eraser I have ever used. It is easy to hold, erases easily and completely without any damage to the paper. The holder gives fantastic control and being able extend or retract the eraser is wonderful. I use mine all the time--when writing or drawing, when charting needle craft patterns, and when following intricate patterns I highlight in pencil the stitches already completed. If any errors are made, I simply erase the highlighted area and do the work correctly.

PERFECT results when erasing pencil marks. No smearing or ghosting and it leaves the paper in its original condition without a scratch. You don't have to refill the cartridge often because of its large capacity. But the cartridge itself is a PIECE OF JUNK!!! The pocket clip also advances and retracts the eraser and the clip breaks off VERY EASILY under heavy usage. THREE cartridges broke before I could get through the third refill! You don't have to be a product engineer to suspect that Pentel PURPOSELY designed the clip to break off so you have to replace the more expensive cartridge. You can actually see and feel that the plastic clip is flimsily attached to the retraction mechanism. Thanks Pentel for the EXCELLENT eraser but you still STINK for blatantly rigging the eraser to break quickly in order to squeeze a for few more nickels and dimes from us!

These are the best erasers I've used. I'm an artist and use these to remove pencil lines after inking, as well as to erase mistakes while drawing. I've never had problems with smudging, and the eraser doesn't break unless you're using it too roughly. The only real con to it is that it becomes difficult to use when you near the end of the eraser. The clip can get in the way, and it's best to replace the eraser at this point.

    This eraser has an inviting design with a manual feed for the white eraser. Unfortunately the eraser feed only works in nominal 1/8" increments. The rubber eraser is either so long that it wobbles when you erase or so short the plastic housing rubs on the paper. When you press on the eraser, the white eraser retracts about 1/16" or so making it difficult to control while erasing.

    I've used this product for well over 15 years now and have yet to find an eraser that does a better job. I used it when I was in school with homework, and have used it since with my pencil drawings, figuring bills, with my kids' homework, you name it... it gets the job done!

    Depending on how hard you write or draw with your pencils, you can erase with this eraser by simply "dabbing" the area (as I do when drawing to get various degrees of shading), or by rubbing the area that's needing to be erased.

    All in all, I think it's an awesome product. (& I'm glad I've finally found a place to get my refills!)
