Being a commercial and industrial electrician, I mark each conduit entering or leaving junction boxes, distribution panels, etc., with circuit numbers, and and panel numbers. the red ink is easier to read than other colors. This leaves a blue print on the conduit instead of having to ruffle through papers and trace pipes.
