Needed to pack and mail something registered mail through USPS. Only allow "paper tape" to be used. Bought this roll of tape, packed the box, went to USPS and they said not allowed, not true paper tape, so had to tear it all off and re-do. In packing section and labeled paper tape ... but don't buy if you are doing it for USPS mailing! Otherwise, decent, but won't stick to itself well if you overlap.

The post office told me I needed PAPER packing tape so they could ink stamp it without it wiping off. This was labeled PAPER tape. It was not. It was shiny and ink stamps would wipe off it so I could not use it at the post office.

The US Post Office will only allow us to use paper tape to tape up a special kind of mailing our business does. I was so tired of having to use the paper tape I had to wet. I was thrilled when I had found this at one of my favorite office supply stores. The other office supply stores do not carry this item and I had only found it one other time at a UPS store but the roll was very tiny and didn't have the value this one has. Thank you so much.

I have used this tape many times, and it is my first choice for most lightweight shipping on used cartons. It is very useful for covering old labels, to "clean up" the appearance of a re-used box, and it's much easier to use than a tape gun dispenser. I have had to return one roll for replacement, due to defective adhesive. If you find one like that, return it for exchange, and give it another try. Some isolated batches may not be manufactured correctly, or are stored in humid locations.
I do not try to write on it, but use just for sealing.

Half of the roll of tape had no adhesive on it. It was a total defect in manufacture. I had to return it. The new roll I exchanged it for has very poor adhesion. I am not pleased with this product at all.
