    I teach 2nd grade and sharpen 20-60 pencils a day! I went through 3 sharpeners this year (one destroyed by a crayon, the others by too much use) and this one is still going strong! The only con is that it is not as quiet as some of the others, but it evenly sharpens pencils and does its job everyday. I would get this sharpener again.

    After one use the sharpener would not stop running. It needed to be unplugged. It did stop sharpening after a while, but when it turned over on its side while we were emptying the shavings from it, it started the ceaseless sharpening activity again. I do not recommend this sharpener.

          I bought this to use in my classroom. Those kids can go through pencils and today's pencils are murder on sharpeners. This works wonderfully and is extremely durable. I added the extra warranty and don't worry a bit about the wear and tear.
