This was bought to replace another auto sharpener that broke. This one works much better than the last sharpening many pencils quickly and without overheating like the previous one we used. It is easy to clean and quiet, although those weren't the main reasons why I bought it.

I thought for the infrequet use it would get, buying a [$] electric pencil sharpener would be "ok". I find it to be flimsy and difficult to work with. Having said that, it does sharpen my pencils.I wish I had purchased a better model.

                  I am a testing coodinator at a local elementary school and purchased this sharpener last year. It only lasted one year and now we are looking to purchase a new one and I was wondering if you had a sharpener that was more durable and would last through at least one or two testing seasons. We are a small school and cannot afford the 139.00 model, but can't seem to find one that can handle a lot of sharpening. I sharpen up to 300 pencils a day for at least 7 days each year. It gets hot and I have to stop after sharpening two dozen. It can take me a long time to get the job done. What do you suggest. It seems the blades are only covered for two years and normal wear is not included.
