This sharpener (not stapler) was completely disappointing. Our main complaint is that it sharpens unevenly -- we get a point of wood, not pencil lead (see pictures). VERY disappointed in this product. Don't know if I can trust this brand again.

This is the worse [*]sharpener I've ever dealt with! I am going to back to the store and try to get my money back. The thing broke the tip of my pencil right off the bat and I could not get it out. The sharpener rotates in a weird way so that destruction of your pencil is almost almost certain. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. It's flimsy as [*]and makes the worst sound while sharpening your pencil. Im [*]off about the 4 star rating that got me to buy it in the first place! DO NOT GET THIS SHARPENER!!

Worthless. Makes screeching noise when a pencil is inserted, until it grinds to a stop and won't rotate the blade at all. The unit shakes so the pencil doesn't stay stable. If you manage to sharpen the pencil, half the point will be wood--- it doesn't sharpen the point straight AT ALL.

I will be returning this to the store tomorrow (I've used it on 5 pencils, thinking I was doing something wrong. I wasn't. It's just a terrible appliance.) This product is so bad, I won't even consider replacing it with another X-acto model.
I wish there was an option to leave NO stars. It got one because the form won't let me keep it blank.

I hate this pencil sharpener. I've had it for about 8 months and it stinks. The motor runs, the pencil fits in and everything, but the results are very unsatisfactory: the pencil point breaks 60% of the time; you end up with just a wood (no lead) point 20% of the time; the pencil looks sharpened, but the lead ends up falling right out when you try to write with it 10% of the time; the pencil comes out with a dull point 7% of the time; and you get a decent point 3% of the time. Not what I expected when spending over $30 on a pencil sharpener. Dissapointing, frustrating junk.

Works like a champ in the classroom, hasn't "frozen up" (or overheated) yet, and that's saying a lot in a math classroom! However, the reservoir for shavings needs to be emptied quite often and is kind of a pain to empty. You have to dump the "bucket" part, then kindof scrape out the "tunnel" type part that leads to the bucket. Messy.
