    Problem with the paper or printer?

    I purchased a Brother HL-5240 laser printer and this paper a few weeks ago. I have always had inkjet printers and have no experience with laser printers. When I first started printing with this printer and paper, the left and right side of the paper would curl (a lot). In an effort to remedy this, I turned the paper upside down in the paper tray. This seemed to help at first now it is doing it again. I am not sure if this is something common with laser printers or if the problem is with the paper. Once the paper curls, it is very hard to deal with. I have to roll it up in the opposite direction of the curl in order to stack it with other papers or documents – very annoying!

    Other than that, the paper is beautiful. It has a great feel and weight to it. There are absolutely no blemishes or defects visible in this paper. I will be trying a more expensive paper soon to see what kind of results I get.

    If the laser printer is the cause of the curling, then I would rate this paper five stars. If the paper turns out to be the culprit, then I give this paper two stars. For now though, the rating remains four stars. Until I figure out the problem, I am going to say that I would not recommend this paper to a friend.

    I use this paper all the time. It is supposed to be the highest end paper. The feel of it is eons better than the usual, but it is definitely getting flimsier. I would still use it over the next best choice.

            I use to have a heck of a time trying to open a package of Xerox paper, but it seems that Xerox has cheapened its packaging which is always split open and may effect the overall quality of its paper, especially in high humidity.

              From presentations to comp booklets this paper out-performs everyone. Yes, it costs more but in this day and age you get what you pay for. And in this day and age you cannot afford to produce poor-looking documents.
