    Really good ball point pens are hard to find these days, but the Zebra models - especially the F-701 - is a top performer. Unfortunately, this model is hard to find anymore, but I especially appreciate it's all-metal body: no rubber to get sticky and deteriorate with age. I've used the original ink cartridge in my Zebra F-701 daily for over a year and expect the refill to provide the same long life.

    While most of my documents require black or blue ink, it would be nice to have the option of green and/or red ink for certain specialized uses. Unfortunately, the only options available at my local Staples were black and blue in the fine-point refills.

    I bless the day I first found the F-301. I use it every day. Love the fine tip and effortless writing line it produces. However, the two pak of refills had only one usable refill cartridge. The 2nd one was scratchy, skipping constantly and completely unusable. I'll continue to use the F-301, but I expect a refill to be commensurate in quality with the pen.
