Staples carries a variety of moving boxes of all shapes and sizes. A Staples shipping box is easy to assemble securely with packing tape. When deciding on the Staples boxes you need, first note what kind of item you’ll be boxing. The following are further considerations to keep in mind.
Size
The width, height and depth of Staples cardboard boxes ranges anywhere from 3 to over 29 inches. It’s wise to purchase a box a little bigger than you need to ensure all items will fit. It’s also important to keep in mind that if the item is delicate, there needs to be at least a couple inches of space to make room for packing peanuts to ensure the item is not harmed during transit.
Corrugate Rating
Corrugated boxes are made from corrugated cardboard or paper and are stronger than your standard cardboard box. The corrugate rating refers to how much force the box can withstand on its edges without crushing. This is measured in force applied in pounds per linear inch. The most common corrugate rate is 32 ECT, which can withstand a maximum load of 65 pounds of force per package. If you need a heavier-duty packing box, 48 ECT can withstand over 100 pounds of force per package.
Staples Shipping Box Shape
Identify the general shape of the object you are trying to store or transport. Finding a box that matches this shape as closely as possible will ensure you can save the most space. Staples cardboard boxes come in a variety of shapes, including cube, flat, long, rectangle and tall.
Box Type
Many are familiar with the standard Staples box, but there are actually different box styles available.
Multi-Depth
This box has sides scored at different depths to allow for easy height adjustment and perfect fit.
Side Loading
